Arriving by car
Town of Opatija is situated in the north-western part of Croatia, near to the Istrian peninsula, only 12-15 km form the Croatian main port Rijeka. From direction of Zagreb, Trieste and Ljubljana it is accessable by the highway, at approximately 1,15 h drive. Hotel Opatija is located in center of town, on the lower road leading to town center, near the gas station, main bus station and the beach.
Arriving by public transportation
Local bus from Rijeka (line 32) stops almost in front of the hotel, as well as bus from Zagreb and Trieste. Nearest train station is at 4,00 km in Matulji, from where taxi service is available, the next train station is at 15 km in Rijeka, from where local bus and taxi are available.
