The appealing furnished single and double rooms as well as the suites, in which three people can stay overnight, are between 21 and 50 m² in size. We are happy to set up an extra bed or baby bed.
All rooms have a practical workspace, a wardrobe, a full-length mirror and a satellite flat-screen TV with streaming capability and a media library for the latest newspapers. You can also enjoy your personal privacy with your own bathroom with shower, toilet, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror. Free high-speed WiFi is also available.

Treat yourself to an upgrade:
Bathrobe and free toiletries in the bathroom, and the coffee and tea machine lets you prepare your favorite hot drinks at any time. You will also receive a free bottle of water upon arrival. The high-speed WiFi completes your carefree stay.

How to get to the hotel

Driving directions from the north:
Leave the A42 at the Essen-Nord motorway junction onto the B224: direction Essen. Continue along the B224. After passing the WAZ publishing house on the left, turn left onto Krupp-Strasse. Continue until the next roundabout and turn left. Go through the railway underpass. At the end, turn right (on the left side of the Mövenpick Hotel Essen), make a U-turn at the next opportunity and turn right into the gateway.

Driving directions from the south:
A52 Düsseldorf to Essen. Exit Essen city centre. Follow the directions to Essen main train station (Hauptbahnhof).

Driving directions from the east:
Leave the A40 at the Essen-Huttrop motorway junction, turn right at the next traffic lights and follow the train tracks. Pass through the railway underpass and turn left in the direction of Hauptbahnhof (main train station). On your left you will see the Hotel Ibis. Continue and, after about 200 metres, turn right into the gateway of the Mövenpick Hotel Essen.

Driving directions from the west:
Take the Essen-Zentrum motorway junction and follow the left course of the road (note the petrol station on your left). Go straight ahead at the next crossing and continue along Krupp-Strasse. Continue along Krupp-Strasse until the next roundabout and turn left. Pass through the railway underpass. At the end turn right (on the left side of the Mövenpick Hotel Essen), make a U-turn at the next opportunity and turn right into the gateway.

Parking - Parkhaus Akazienallee
You can park at the parking garage Parkhaus Akazienallee at a special rate of EUR 9,00 for 24 hours.
Leave the hotel gateway, turn left and pass through the railway underpass. Turn left at the following roundabout onto Freiheit and turn left again at the next crossing. Pass through the underpass and turn left at the next roundabout. After about 100 metres the car park is situated on your left hand side.
The parking garage has a video surveillance and is situated about 100 metres walking distance from the Mövenpick Hotel Essen. In order to maintain the discount, the parking ticket has to be marked at the front desk of the Mövenpick Hotel Essen prior departing the car park.
